In this video I will share with you this very simple apple turnover recipe. Apple turnovers are very easy to make and above all their absolutely delicious!

For this recipe you will need
7 Puff Pastry sheets (12×12 cm)
2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon sticks or powder
4 Medium sized Apples
3 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Raisins
1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla bean
1/4 Cup Water

1/2 Cup White sugar

Start by washing and cutting the apples into cubes. To the apples add brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and lemon juice. Mix it and add the raisin. Cook it over a low to medium fire and cover the pan with it lid
Let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes then remove the lid and turn off the heat.

Apply water at the edges of the pastry puff ( you can also use lightly beaten egg whites) Put some apple mix in the middle of the pastry puffs and close it. Press the edges down using your finger or fork.

Brush the pies with water and and dip it in a plate filled with white sugar
Brush the pies with an egg wash

Put the apple turnovers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheat over 175C for about 12- 15 minutes
